The well known Waterfalls Walk boasts some of the most outstanding waterfall and woodland scenery in the North of England. The walk is 4.5 miles long, passing through ancient oak woodland and affording magnificent views of the Yorkshire Dales and a continuous display of spectacular waterfalls and geological features. The walk starts in Ingleton, from a large car park and proceeds up the River Twiss until just above Thornton Force, where, after a short walk across country, then proceeds back along the River Doe, which meets up with the River Twiss in Ingleton. It is possible to sit behind the plummeting water of Thornton Force.
