An attractive footpath leads from Settle to Stainforth, alongside the River Ribble. Near the village of Stainforth there is an attractive series of waterfalls, known as Stainforth Force. At the right time of the year one can stand on the side of the river and watch salmon leaping up the thunderous waters. An attractive stone bridge spans the river near to the falls.
