Ribblesdale starts near the 3 Peaks of Yorkshire (Whernside, Ingleborough and Penygent) where the River Ribble originates, close to Whernside. It flows through Horton in Ribblesdale, Stainforth, Langcliffe and Settle, after which it leaves the dale to meander on a low flat floodplain between Giggleswick and Long Preston, and then to make its way to Preston in Lancashire.
Our Holiday cottage is within Ribblesdale, and all of the places to visit in Ribblesdale are within easy driving distance.
