Waldendale is a small dale extending from the area of Buckden Pike and curving down to Bishopdale at West Burton. It is an attractive, solitary dale that offers much isolation from vehicular traffic. Along its bottom runs Walden Beck, which joins the Bishopdale Beck after West Burton, a village worth visiting if only to see the large village green, stocks and cross.
