Malhamdale covers the area from Malham Tarn, through Malham Cove, Malham Village, Hanlith, Kirby Malham and Airton. The area around Malham has spectacular limestone scenery. The River Aire flows through Malhamdale. Its starts at Aire Head Springs, just south of Malham village. Malham Tarn lies about a mile away and above the village. Malham Cove, just a short easy walk from the village, is striking from a distance and well worth closer examination. There is an extensive limestone pavement above the Cove.
