Garsdale extends from Sedbergh to Garsdale Head where there is a row of cottages and some scattered dwellings. Garsdale Head railway station is also here, lying on the Settle-Carlisle railway line. Garsdale is a narrow dale, along the course of which runs a narrow minor road and the Clough river. Garsdale is renowned for its many small streams running parallel to each other on each side of the Clough River. There are many waterfalls and bridges along Garsdale, which makes it one of the more attractive dales.
